@kravietz from first quick research i get she no longer is selfchosen part of #XR
“Although battery or hydrogen storage may be just around the corner, we are in a climate emergency and need all the clean energy we can build right now: renewables, nuclear, and carbon capture and storage.”
**@ziontree, former Extinction Rebellion activist**
https://twitter.com/LenkaKollar/status/1276286573642838016 which she retweetet herself
I don't care if she's XR or not, what is important is that prominent people are changing their mind based on scientific arguments. This is the process that we need to see more on both sides of the climate denial - both fossil and 100% RE - both of which are driving increase of CO2 emissions.
It's very sad to watch diehards like Greenpeace whose energy policies are changing rather chaotically every few years with one constant element being opposition to nuclear.
But she was a spokesperson, so what's the problem?
Are you a lawyer by any chance? My statements is about an XR spokesperson who became a nuclear advocate in response to scientific data and thus became an ex-spokesperson of XR. Does this wording satisfy your need for precise statements?
@kravietz Yes, it does. To be clear: All I ask you is to speak the truth and therefor edit and repost your original post to reflect reality. I don't see any need to insinuate stuff (what is the relevance if i was a lawer in this context?). If this accuracy is not yours it tells more about your ability to judge nuclear power and advocating for it than it does about my "needs for precise statements".
Would you do that (repost your original post)?
Done!
P.S. I hope I can expect just as 100% accurate language from your side when speaking of nuclear power?
@kravietz Thanks
And yes, you already got "accurate language" a few posts before: nuclear power is not our business (and not mine personally). #XR does not demand concrete solutions as we don't claim to know what's best for others. Therefore we demand citizens' assemblies to decide guided/ informed by experts.
Also in general XR is keen on feedback as a chance to integrate multiple perspectives. So in future feel invited to drop us your view.
@kravietz the problem is, your statement is not true. Why that is relevant? XR is not about nuclear power and your statement seams as if XR (via @ziontree@twitter.com) agrees or even advocates nuclear power. Does that answer your question?
