When someone comes to your door asking for money to save the rainforests, do you berate them for not paying attention to other types of forests, or do you recognise that domain-specific focuses often come with awareness of and contribute to solving larger scale problems?

When someone comes to my door asking for money to save rainforests it's usually Greenpeace and then I'd ask them why are they lobbying for increased use of biomass which the direct reasons why the forests are being cut down in the first place.

@kravietz Have a big long think about whether that's the point or not, and what you gain/say by choosing that to be your response.

@Cheeseness

You might just simply write "when someone says black lives matter it's a bit of a evasion to ask hey, don't other lives matter too?" and I could only but like it.

Have a big long think if using far-fetching analogies and metaphors is the best way to explain a simple idea that can be presented directly.

@kravietz I don't think you quite had a long enough think there, mate.
