I think memory of these people should be highlighted more, because they actually stood for the values rather than join the vicious tribal instincts. It takes much more courage to do this than anything else, especially in these times and places.

And this, to be honest, is the only way how progress works among humans. If it wasn't for people like this, we'd be still probably eating leaves and killing anyone who smells differently with sticks :)

@kravietz: I agree with the sentiments of your comments but it also can be misread as 'enough' because we have these exceptions. Without denying nor diminishing them, we can't rest until their selfless courageous examples become the rule among all those suffering inhumanity today...
