so I just tried some imported Bulgarian Feta for the first time.

It was really really good. Still had the sharp taste of feta, and a similar crumbling texture. But it was creamier, you could taste the milkyness just a bit more (even though it was firm like feta).. It had some strange but delicious flavors I couldnt really place.. My whole breakfast was a few cubes of feta and 2 pieces of the jerky I made (trying to go low-carb, maybe keto)... Really nice!

Have you tried ayran (Turkish/Bulgarian yoghurt)? Another great invention of these countries!

Also as I've seen you like beef jerky, you'd definitely love basturma, a Georgian recipe for dried beef with a thick layer of awesome spices.

@kravietz I dont recall every trying it, no.

I also never tried basturma that I can recall but it looks **amazing**. If I ever get the chance absolutely getting a bunch of that.

@freemo

Probably only available in Georgian restaurants as a snack - since I moved to UK I've never seen it sold anywhere.

@kravietz Shame, its always hard to find those special regional foods. Often you cant even make it as key ingredients are local for a lot of this stuff.
