I can upload but can't publish, the privacy setting is "private" by default.

But you have the "Wait transcoding..." flag enabled? It will publish the video automatically after it's converted. On some Peertube instances this takes many hours.

@kravietz As I said, tube.piweb.be has no such problem.
@kravietz it doesn't. It only publishes if privacy is set to public.
