@thor yeah when it first came out i had that and had lost a emergency password for one of my accounts, had a devil of a time resetting everything, had to email proof, i switched to authy which backs up your accounts as long as you have it on 2 devices.
I use bitwarden now instead of lastpass and i have noticed that offers 2fa built in but haven’t tried the timecode part yet.

In older version of LastPass authenticator app you could access the SQLite storage on a rooted phone and export it, but then they started encrypting it with some obfuscated keys so I ended up doing literally what you described - removing MFA from ~50 accounts and restoring them back with a new seed in Aegis.
