Also Solzhenitsyn described an interesting case study as his forced labour camp produced 40'000 m3 of timber according to the plan with great human losses but it then never picked up by the manufacturers who had enough already to fulfill their plans and the timber was simply wasted.

Now, if you say that capitalist economies are the inflexible ones...
