I have tried other feds but wow, I just can't handle big feds.
I had my first account that I used for like a week before I made this one on Mastodonsocial and it's just a firehouse of random crap from a million people. I don't get why people like it. 🚒

@Wetrix The thing with fediverse is that it doesn't have any central machine learning authority like in FB or Twitter that gradually tune your feed to what you engage with and what you don't. Obviously at the cost of behavioural profiling and building the bubble *for you* based on rather obscure criteria.
Fediverse relies only on your explicit signals "I don't want this" so you just need to use the Mute button less reluctantly.
@kravietz @Wetrix Rather than looking at the federated or local timeline, look for a few people or bots you like (and maybe a few you don't like) and follow them. For example, @me_irl_bot, @George, @bigben, @JoshuaRystedt, or @TheBabylonBee_bot.
