Well, as with every nationalism, Polish nationalism assumes superiority of Polish language and culture.

So anyone claiming any other culture is superior to Polish is a natural enemy.

So if Russian nationalist programme does not include switching to Roman-catholic religion, Latin alphabet and Polish language, they are obviously not compatible.
