@kravietz I'd read it but you need a sub.

On the upside I watch everything on my PC & don't own a TV ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ“บ

I haven't owned one in over 20 years. ๐Ÿ˜…

@Wetrix Yesterday they had the paywall open :( But yeah, no TV here too :)

@kravietz
I guess we are deep into age of VODs, only my parents watch what they are represented on tv, others just play something on Netflix or any other provider of that kind. I use tv mostly for watching movies and tv shows that I pirate. I guess we are just modern tv users?
@Wetrix

@nikolal @kravietz yep ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I know someone that might have
been downloading off private sites for decades now ๐Ÿ˜™

That person rumor has it is so used to watching scene releases without commercials and with good, fast pre times and releases that they can NEVER go back to watching cable or any other VOD service because the selection and quality just can't be beat ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Follow

@Wetrix @nikolal But you need to know *what* to download, don't you? That's the biggest added value of Netflix IMHO - taste profiling & suggestions. And no ads. If I want a specific movie, I'd go to Yify & friends too first :)

@kravietz @nikolal that's all in those sites my friend we'll call autumn frequents as well.

It has recommendations by other users, ratings, reviews, insanely in depth search options and links to all the usual sites like IMDB etc all a click away, and all this is on the same page so it's actually much more in depth and better than Netflix.

Or so she tells me. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

@kravietz
This is what I want to try when I get new raspberry pi, no need for any subscription then, just donations to this kind people who made this:

@Wetrix

@nikolal @Wetrix My problem here is very simple: I've got like ~10 "personal servers" (incl cloud & phys) and I can't manage yet another self-hosted project. Oh, and I can't just do it once and leave it there unpatched :)
