Just downloaded ~500MB of my #facebook data and deleted the account permanently. Google's next :)

@blacklight447 yeah, for 30 days; then I can also legally retract permission to process personal data which per #gdpr should force them to delete it even if they didn't before

I don't know if downloading data really changes anything, I also doubt that deleting account also deletes all that data since its scattered across many servers and those servers are in America. It doesn't matter if you are in rest of the world, they transfered most of accounts data in America based servers just so they can avoid all GDPR thing afaik
