@Wetrix being an indian I can give more context:
the indian govt created a new set of rules call IT rules 2021 which essentially allows government full access to digital lives of people and demands tech companies to trace and censor accounts it demands.
it has already been use to censor a lot of tweets that were against the government on how they handled covid.
@ParmuTownley @Wetrix It doesn't sound good what India is doing. I wish they'd ban all that crap in America but the government here works with those companies to exploit everyone, so game over...
