I was recently speaking with a friend whose company buys data from Google for targeted marketing. He complained about the work they had to do to 'match up' the anonymized data to real people. I explained how I degoogled which was a new concept to him. He then said the famous words, "I have nothing to hide." It baffles me how he de-anonymizes personal data and doesn't understand the problem. It seems to be some kind of cognitive dissonance for marketing people?

@krock he's the perfect employee for Google & companies like his. Dumb and ignorant.

@Wetrix @krock yeah, it's not super shocking since this is how most unfortunately think.
