It's official, blog.privacytools.io is live! I've imported a couple backdated posts for testing :)
In the (near) future we'll be posting more long-form articles/guides, news on privacy, etc.
We're also looking for guest bloggers! If you're interested definitely get in touch. We would also be open to "syndicating" (https://indieweb.org/POSSE) previously published articles if you're already a writer in the privacy space.
#PSA: If you haven't already enabled 2FA on Mastodon, do it now! Preferences > Account > Two-Factor Auth 👌

I changed my mind: I want to try out going invite-only and see how it works out for us. We're getting a lot of registrations but it seems like most accounts aren't even used. I strongly believe in quality over quantity and I hope adding some limits will help keep our conversations great!
More info @ https://social.privacytools.io/about/more#invites — definitely open to feedback on this.

Update: Mastodon v2.9.3
We're now live on v2.9.3! Changelog posted to https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/releases/tag/v2.9.3
Let me know if you run into any issues or have any questions!
Idk if anyone still uses Twitter but the #GrapheneOS project would appreciate some attention about the theft of their former Twitter account. If anyone does and would RT https://twitter.com/JonahAragon/status/1161414978114662404 and the posts in Micay's thread that'd be great.

Anyone want to help privacytools.io with some somewhat tedious tasks? 😆
I'm trying to add i18n support to the site so we can get some translations up! But it means I need pretty much every English string to be copied to a separate file to be translated. Info @ https://github.com/privacytoolsIO/privacytools.io/issues/1106

Anyone else see where President Trump attacked the internet in a speech today.
"We must shine light on the dark recesses of the internet and stop mass murders before they start."
"The internet, likewise, is used for human trafficking, illegal drug distribution, and so many other heinous crimes. The perils of the internet and social media cannot be ignored and will not be ignored."
It's almost like the 5 eyes are teaming up to further destroy privacy and our freedoms.
