Wow, who could possibly have seen this coming? From a browser designed around peddling cryptocurrency? I am incredibly shocked.

So when you are using the @brave@twitter.com browser and type in "binance[.]us" you end up getting redirected to "binance[.]us/en?ref=35089877" - I see what you did there mates 😂

@techygrue since 2013 or ‘14 I think. A bit has changed IMO since that video, Mayor Frey seems very overwhelmed & emotional with this entire situation now, which has not lead to any great decision-making 😅 Which is probably why Gov. Walz had to step in. Walz (and St Paul Mayor Carter, from what I can tell) has been handling the situation the best he can IMHO.

Some tips from the EFF (ssd.eff.org/en/module/attendin).

Before the Protest
- Enable full-disk encryption on your device
- Remove fingerprint unlock and FaceID
- Install Signal
- Back up your data
- Buy a prepaid, disposable phone
- Consider biking or walking to the protest (to avoid Automated License Plate Reader Systems)

During the Protest
- Take photos and videos without unlocking your device
- Enable airplane mode

After the Protest
- Scrub metadata on photos

@freddyym well pretty much every registrar will require a real address besides Njalla, since it’s a registry requirement. You do get Whois protection with Porkbun for free which is a plus I guess.

Trump: liberate Minnesota
People: start protesting in Minnesota
Trump: wait not like that

What the fuck

Here’s the video footage of the MN State Police’s bizarre arrest of the CNN crew.

The CNN crew clearly identified themselves, explained why they were there, & offered to move to wherever police instructed.

Still arrested w/o explanation.

It's unclear who's behind the surge in bot activity or whether they're originating from the US or abroad. Nearly half 'reopen America' Twitter accounts are bots: report - Business Insider businessinsider.com/nearly-hal

@wiktor not sure why I didn’t get a notification for this reply but sure, if you still want to 😅

@syster @danarel @andreas we're working on mind control to get everyone on the same page, but the technology just isn't there quite yet.

Man, long distance data transfers are no fun. Almost finished :)

Are we enabling bad behaviour on the part of tech companies by simply disabling their #privacy intrusions at the browser level, instead of actually getting them to change their ways?

Watch out, Chrome Safe Browsing was quite privacy aware so far, it just checked URL hashes. Now it's full blown real-time monitoring of what you actually browse... and link it to your Google account.

Not that it did anything else if you had your browsing history synced to cloud 😂

buying a terabyte of RAM so i can run three electron apps at once

@avalos@cybre.space the problem isn't that it's immediately become insecure, IMO, it's that there's no conceivable reason for Zoom to continue running it. It was pretty clearly an acqui-hire to boost their own security. Keybase is probably just a money pit and will be shut down. It just has no future, unfortunately.

@selea yeah. It’s super easy. It takes like 15 minutes to go from nothing to functional federation if you just need a basic/default setup tbh.
