@Wetrix IMHO a private company refusing to provide services to another organization is not censorship. A government calling for the takedown would be, but that is not the case.
@Yeet seems like it! I'm not actually able to add users to push to this repository but if you do your work in a fork I can merge your commits in to the branch π
@Yeet can't find your account: https://github.com/yeet647 (?)
Do you know how the pull request functionality works? If so you can submit PRs to the i18n branch on the repo and I'll merge them in ASAP π

Anyone want to help privacytools.io with some somewhat tedious tasks? π
I'm trying to add i18n support to the site so we can get some translations up! But it means I need pretty much every English string to be copied to a separate file to be translated. Info @ https://github.com/privacytoolsIO/privacytools.io/issues/1106
@FluhartyML there's a reason they're affordable, they're serving advertisements with your data and encouraging vendor lock-in which will make you buy more Amazon things lol

Anyone else see where President Trump attacked the internet in a speech today.
"We must shine light on the dark recesses of the internet and stop mass murders before they start."
"The internet, likewise, is used for human trafficking, illegal drug distribution, and so many other heinous crimes. The perils of the internet and social media cannot be ignored and will not be ignored."
It's almost like the 5 eyes are teaming up to further destroy privacy and our freedoms.
@mister_monster we'll be keeping the instance open for now.

There is way to help Tor users connect to Tor network if they are in country that restricts it, you can install this extension by Tor project to help them do it. Don't worry, you are not exit node with this extension.

@digicana @FluhartyML definitely go with HomeKit on this if you want a good, commercial solution. Ideally wait until this fall when HomeKit routers release that will firewall all your IoT devices from the internet automatically.
Do not go with Alexa or Google Home. If you don't want to go with Apple you can look into FOSS solutions like OpenHAB or hass.io.
@darylsun yeah, the idea behind IndieWeb is that you personally control all your personal data, on your own servers, with your own domain. It's pretty neat but not exactly the easiest solution lol

@russell which is why fundamentally Copperhead was a good idea. They should be selling pre-flashed Graphene phones and a support plan. It's an obvious market and there was no reason they had to screw that up originally.
But maybe we're seeing why Copperhead died in the first place. Unrealistic expectations?
@russell honestly that's what I'm starting to think now. Micay seems like a very talented developer who appears to have very little understanding of his actual community and their skillset.
Honestly what he really needs to do is hire some developers, I know he has sponsors. And if the sponsors aren't enough, the project probably needs a better business model.
#PrivacyTools Administrator, #OpenNIC Operator, macOS and Linux user, maybe some other stuff too?
