Looking at the Open source app Lockdown to block app ads in iOS, but you canāt have it running with a separate vpn. It apparently isnāt a vpn itself (like most app ad blockers) but uses the vpn settings so I canāt use ProtonVPN with it. They DO have their own VPN but not sure I need another one just to use this app.
Started looking into #Ethereum (crypto currency) and the #dApps (distributed apps) that are run on them. Here's a snippet:
"Web 3.0 is a lot of things, but at its core is a technology based on decentralization. By decentralizing information and services, large corporations and governments won't be able to control users of the Internet through monopolistic, authoritarian tactics."

(scroll about 2/3 down to get past the techie stuff if you like)
I wish privacy was easier online for the masses. Itās such a balancing act between knowing whatās being collected / staying informed and anonymous, and features you want to use.
These days feature xyz is so desirable that most really donāt care whatās collected. It also takes effort to know whatās being collected and how itās used and people just donāt bother.
