Idea for a book or movie:

Temps rise, no one does anything until trees start dying and crops fail.

Massive famine causes wipe out of 70% of humans, remaining humans wipe out remaining wild life trying to stay alive. Governments collapse.

With most emissions now at next to nil, earth can rebound.

Meat of book or show is here: can humans learn from this as they repopulate, or does humanity’s faults still doninate?

I feel like this exists though… is it called The 100? That one is nuclear..
