I wish there a way to post to just your mastodon instance. Not followers, or unlisted... just...instance.

@Wetrix However, I do feel like I have a valid request, so hear me out. If Mastodon is all about these communities which only then federate out to the wider fediverse, why shouldn't I be able to only talk to my "town"? What if I respect the folks in my instance, and don't want rando comments like on twitter?
It's almost no different than posting to just your followers, it's just a slightly wider audience.
