Looking at the Open source app Lockdown to block app ads in iOS, but you can’t have it running with a separate vpn. It apparently isn’t a vpn itself (like most app ad blockers) but uses the vpn settings so I can’t use ProtonVPN with it. They DO have their own VPN but not sure I need another one just to use this app.
