@resist1984 I believe thats for better notifications, but make sure you install the APK on their website and not anywhere else. I don't have that issue with APK version.
@Wetrix Im not paying for Mastodon ;)
Ive never really played Fortnite before, nor am I really a fan, but notice its "free". Can someone analyze the privacy policy of Fortnite (or Epic Games) for me because I highly dout they would just make money off of in game purchases.
I think of it like how Android is "free and open source" but it was a great business success for it to now be world wide gathering data to Google.
@seven Nothing like having a verified fucking email and password somewhere on the account that I cannot use. Who tf uses a passphrase to login? Why not at least a password?
@kylejj Well for one, it sucks battery. (Spoiler alert, I dont have the app on my devices anymore for clear reason.)
The reason it probably sucks so much battery is because its always sending data to improving.duckduckgo.com (Which all we have is DuckDuckGo's promise that they're safe.)
I also make a toot in the past about other reasons DuckDuckGo is pushing me away from it, im sure you could find it somewhere.
@aaronpk There is the issue. You use Google.
@nikolal Are you looking for a secure privacy screen sharing software? (Windows not Linux)
@mister_monster My last attempt would be an old app called "Network Log", you can search it on the Aurora Store or Google Play Store if you have that for se reason.
Lists of my favorites:
NetGuard - Great for a complete device lockdown to block all internet access for all apps and can whitelost certain apps. Has good logs and alerts for apps attempting to connect to internet. It does have premium features you can bypass with Lucky Patcher if you don't wanna pay.
Blokada - Great for just blocking trackers. Has alerts for trackers and logs.
App Snitch - Good logs on snitching out apps, BUT contains trackers in app!
Hope I answered right.
I found this odd-ish but decent looking social media. Worth a look maybe?
"The leading open source social network for Internet freedom. Earn crypto and free promotion for your contributions. "
The Android app does contain Google Firebase Analytics by default. (But could be removed in a modified APK).

@greyor They use Let's Encrypt for SSL but digging deeper they sadly use CloudFlare in their name-servers.
