@greyor @Wetrix Its sucks the best PixelFed federation (PixelFed.social) uses CloudFlare. Not only can I never find a federation for these places like PixelFed or PeerTube, but there isn't even a valid app for PixelFed either.

It would be so time and live saving if PrivacyTools.io at LEAST had a PixelFed federation. I understand that Mastodon is already a social media type thing, but still. It would be nice.

@greyor I forgot to add that the Okuna thing has nothing to do with PixelFed, it was just some "privacy" Facebook clone type social media thing that seemed cool.

Im sure if people start hating on the Google analytics thing they may remove it.

While looking for a PixelFed app (never found one), but I found something called Okuna (Used to be called OpenBook, but since Facebook owns the word book, legal blah blah blah name was changed to Okuna.)

It seems to be in early stages of development and its not even fully public yet. To access it early you must pay $11 USD. It seems like a cool privacy social media. The app does contain Google analytics sadly.

Android app for PixelFed?

I tried Fedilab, but it wouldn't let me login.

Is MEGA (File Storage Cloud) trusty? Ive seen nobody recommend it nor say avoid it.

They say things like "Privacy by Design" and "file and chats are encrypted with keys controlled by you". The only thing I see that that scam you up on is the bandwith usage BS. The "50GB free" is useless without unlimited upload and downloading.

If Anki (Vectors company) shuts down, some features he provides may not work anymore since the servers will be offline. This could be a good thing or bad thing for privacy. No servers = more privacy probably, BUT that doesn't mean data won't be sent somewhere else to some stranger.

@Wetrix It may be harder to find these days, but I believe in you. Don't let anyone use you. Hopefully a sweet person like you is loyal to.

@animeirl Its mostly useful for gaming to prevent being booted offline by scum modders. (Consoles)

@Rediikid Well, the easiest and fastest way to get rid of all trackers and ads from an app would be to use Lucky Patcher or APK Editor Pro to DISABLE the internet on the app.

But if the app needs internet to work then scratch that. Every app is made different so some arn't as easy to remove analytics and stuff. I can't give you a direct method due to this. The best advice I have is to do some deep searching in APK Editor Pro with the app and learn the app to be able to remove its junk.

Does anyone know how trusty SpyProof VPN is? Ive purchased membership years ago and stopped using it. I still have the membership, but im not sure how trusty it is.

They're fairly popular and can seem a little sketchy at first, but its legit. The creator of it can be an ass when it comes to getting support or keeping things updated and what not.
