@teleclimber centralized moderation is a proven failure and is just getting worse over time. I like how decentralized platforms like Mastodon are in effect like submarines - you can isolate the broken parts (eg Gab) rather than letting every compartments get flooded.

How the heck am I going to open this shit with Linux? 
It's not even a DRM-encrypted file, it's an XML file that still requires Adobe's DRM software to get to the actual DRM encrypted file! (insert table flip here)

lgbt.io blocks over 200 instances.
One of these is social.privacytools.io, an instance whose primary purpose is to provide a platform for discussing how to protect themselves from corporate (think google/facebook) and government (think NSA & Edward Snowden) surveillance.
While blocking some instances can be understandable, this level of blocking is overkill. If you insist on listening to #FediBlock, the least you can do is contact the instance admins and try to work something out beforehand.
