I'm interested in #free_software, #privacy and concerned about the danger of #monoculture and #monopoly in technology and elsewhere.

I've been a #Linux user since 1998, and a #Fedora contributor since 2005. My $dayjob is with #Facebook though not on any product or ads teams, and I actually get to work with, and contribute to, #floss projects.

On July 4th Gab is coming on to the Fediverse by switching over to Mastodon on their servers.

This means that you can shut the door on them today by preemptively have them fully suspended from your instances. So your users do not have risk getting harassed by any of their users, and they from the start be blocked off from major portions of the Fediverse.

It is not a coincidence that EVERY platform that promises "unlimited free speech" has fallen to hatred, villainy, and oppression.

It is not a coincidence that nearly EVERY person who demands absolute freedom of speech also wants to subjugate the human beings they believe are Lesser Than.

I do not tolerate that hatred, villainy, oppression, and subjugation here. Evil does not get to have a voice on Elekk.

to better explain my dislike of Purism. It's simple. It goes far beyond their ignorance when it comes to allowing hate speech on their social platform.

They also release half-cooked probducts that aren't ready for mass consumption. They raise funds for products that aren't realistic or that they don't even know how they will build yet.

They charge shipping and restocking on their own failed products when they don't work as sold.
