@rw oddly enough, I'm just switching away from standard notes. They don't support markdown, and Joplin is already feeling nicer IMO, but I'm having trouble importing everything. Oh well...

Here’s what went down with Plausible Analytics in May:

🚀 Now much faster and can handle more load

🙌 Reduced the size of our tracking script by more than 50%

🔨 Good progress on an easy self-hosted solution. We plan to release the alpha version this month

America. What the flying fuck is going on? I haven't the faintest fucking clue how to describe how infuriated the world is making me feel right now. Why are protestors being shot? Why are journalists being shot?

This is the most dystopian I've ever seen the world get. How the world pans out in the next few weeks is anyones guess...

Out of all the things Google does to violate the privacy of internet users, they're now in a $5bn lawsuit because sites can track visitors using Google Analytics while the visitor is using Chrome browser Incognito mode 🤯

@amolith is there a tool for generating those funky texts or is it all hand done. I always find them cool to look at...

You know what would be sweet is something like uses.tech/ but for people on FOSS & Linux.

It could show your distro of choice, DE, commonly used software, and additional FOSS system use like LineageOS or UBPorts on a phone.

@mike sometimes I help out in schools, listening to reading and such. All the kids love this game, and its terrible.

We would like to help connect #FOSS projects.

If you are an official[^1] FOSS project account with community spirit, or want to suggest one, please @ us :)

The idea is to feature other awesome FOSS projects on our account. /sh

@sir I've just set up a Migadu account and couldn't be happier, thanks for the recommendation!

Okay fedi, I've a question. Can I run the Mastodon instance at social.example.com, but have my handle as @icy@example.com?

Freddy :verified: boosted
Okay, the new #Funkwhale channels feature is freaking awesome. I think there's more work to be done to make this more compatible with the rest of the fediverse, but I think this is a very promising opportunity for musicians to share their original works within the network.

New Funkwhale UI redesign looks great too!

Today 4 years ago 12 people founded Nextcloud to create a complete Free and Open Source alternative to centralize proprietary cloud services and open core competitors. Together we achieved a lot more then what I dreamed of. Thanks to everyone who is contributing.

@sir another benefit of this focus on simplicity is that it can massively improve your site's performance

:bitcoin: dropped to 5k not that long ago. Its just reached 10k.
I don't understand this. Then again, I don't understand much on the internet.
