Everyone's all hyped about Anonymous but really, their glory days are long gone. The actually skilled few have long since moved on, and the current crowd is a bunch of skids with DDoS scripts.
The thing about DDoS attacks that the media fails to tell you about—they're relatively easy to mitigate and are only temporary. Besides, a police force losing its website is a non-issue, it's not essential infrastructure. They can function just fine without it.
@marc0janssen I have 3 at the moment (because librem.one is being a pain in the arse). Though I only really want one main account on Masto.
The problem is that I use write.privacytools.io, along with many other of their services. I rely too much on them, and that not good.
I'm tempted to migrate to fosstodon.org. The account @freddy is already reserved.
But I also really like social.privacytools.io

@icyphox its because many of the XMPP clients are not stable enough and do not support E2EE on by default for private conversations. XMPP clients do not use E2EE for VOIP related features either.
I know XMPP gets frowned upon here. However, having never used it, I though I might as well try it out.
If you have any good channel recommendations then please ask.

almost done with the most basic (read: elegant, approachable) iteration of my website yet. here's a peek at some of the stuff i've worked on

.monster is a hard domain to come by. Namecheap sells it but requires a full address and everything. I only really want to pay in 
however seeing as njal.la doesn't sell them, this might be hard.

Generally speaking I consider "smart lightbulbs" the most pointless thing ever, but hey, who am I to tell people that running a HA-K8s cluster in a datacenter just to turn your lights on and off might costs more energy than you safe when you turn off the LEDs on the go, if you forgot to turn them off.
@karan violence should only be used as a last resort. To me fighting implies violence, though if I am interpreting this wrong then please correct me.
