NSA Prism program taps in to user data of Apple, Google and others.

The NSA access is part of a previously undisclosed program called Prism, which allows officials to collect material including search history, the content of emails, file transfers and live chats, the document says.

I must admit that every day, I'm taken aback by how untroubled so many (almost all) people are with having their entire digital lives controlled & surveilled by 5 US-based totalitarian (non-democratic) multinational corporations that throw around more financial weight than most nations and laugh at any gov't regulation attempts.

Annoyed with Notable. Had no idea that it had become closed source. Standard notes seems better anyway.

@andreas only thing that I dislike about this article is that there is no mention of Tor.

"If any of that applies to you, you need a VPN as part of your security and privacy toolkit."

Nope, you need Tor.

Otherwise, great article. IVPN are doing good things in the space.

"Hacker News" does the word "hacker" shame. These people aren't hackers. They're fucking suits.

Ever since Kev made his announcement about I haven't posted a new article. I do have some in the works, though I feel like I've neglected the challenge.
