@syntax whats your budget?!
The Massdrop alt can be ordered with silent switches such as Zilents, is backlit and doesn't look obnoxious. Its relatively expensive, however if you compare it to things like the J01 it is a good investment.
Mechanical keyboards are my jam.

@kev I feel bad for you.
Those blogs are so nice, but I don't know if I'd want to just give up a site I'd worked so hard on.
@duckduckgo no mention of Jitsi meet. Recommends TorGaurd, Fastmail, Vivalid, Safari, and Facetime.
Good job
DDG. Really providing quality resources out there for people who don't know other alternatives.
Even with a basic threat model, using open source alternatives where possible is always advised.
If you want an actual list of privacy resources then use privacytools.io
Not really and article for todays #100DaysToOffload . I've decided to stop the privacy post and move all my articles to this blog. It's going to seem very muddled for a while.

Cutting it a little tight tonight, but here's Day 4 of the #100DaysToOffload challenge.

@syntax Down a rabbit hole, I also found the open-source http://guardian.gyford.com, "For viewing a daily issue of the Guardian and Observer newspapers using content from the Guardian Open Platform."
@syntax yikes.

Glenn #Greenwald providing a much needed discussion of the Julian #Assange case, which as he points out shamefully and dangerously lack coverage and support for his case in the (US) MSM, regardless whether you like the man.
In the first ~40 minute monologue he discusses all (afaik) the facts pertaining to the case. After that, Jennifer Robinson and Margaret Sullivan join the conversation.
@andreas much better UI. Might be worth contacting the dev and suggesting that they switch to something like posthog.com

For those who lurk on hacker news (https://news.ycombinator.com/), there’s an alternative UI for it that lists posts in chronological order. Serves google analytics FYI but the UI is much easier for me to sort through.
@syntax theintercept.com is great.
I might write an email to the Guardian, maybe even start a petition. I think people would be willing to support the movement.
Also, I wouldn't stop reading the Guardian if they started using privacy respecting ads like codefund.io
This is possibly the best thing I've seen all day! CovidTracer, a decentralised and anonymous contact tracing application.
@yarmo yeah, looking back it wasn't really. But when I was writing it I felt like a bit of a shill for some reason.
@yarmo I'm going to start putting all my projects onto sr.ht (when I actually get round to making them, that is.)
It has no JS, is 100% open source and has only had 2 outages this year, both of which were planned and announced a week in advance.
Hard sell, I know. However, I genuinely like the product.
@kev really interesting.
@en I wrote an article.
When asked if you have nothing to hide, it's not that I have nothing to hide, I simply don't have anything I would like to share, especially unknowingly.
