Just spoke to someone at ecosia.org about privacy. With the climate in the state that it is in I think it is important that we all do our best to help out, and using ecosia could be a part of this.

I've given them a few pointers that they seem to have taken in. Hopefully we see some updates to their policy soon.

What are your thoughts on ecosia, and should I write an article on search engines including startpage etc... Let me know.

Also keep donating to teamtrees.org

It seems that during our , we finally broke our 15 dollar goal on librapay, which means we will be able to fully run on donations! We now get a generous 18.11$ a week from 13 different patrons!

I would like to issue a thank you to all involved into making this happen, and a special thank you to our generous backers.

Now, lets continue what we do best at Privacytools.io, and spread privacy under the masses.

Thank you, PTIO community!

In an attempt to make privacy even more accessible, I have created a quick Privacy Checklist that gives people 9 quick tools to increase their privacy online.

@jonah thanks, will do so from now on! A lot more effective then just copy and pasting the whole thing.

The link is here if you want to share to some friends, seeing as most people on Mastodon care about their privacy I'll only post articles on my main blog but I'll link a the medium ones in the comments if you want!

I used to publish articles to Medium but now I use: write.privacytools.io/

Seeing as privacytools.io just created their own Medium an interesting thought came to me.

If I published some of my articles on why privacy mattered and then directed that traffic back to my blog...

Also should I do an article on Hong Kong, I think it could be interesting?

Oh look, GitHub accepted me for their sponsorship program—like, 5 months later? Better late than never I guess. github.com/sponsors/JonahArago

Medium users can now follow us at medium.com/privacytools! Give us some claps šŸ˜„

Don't use Medium? That's cool too! Keep an eye on blog.privacytools.io/ for future updates.

Seeing as my article on why privacy matters did so well, heres a reminder of my post on compartmentalisation:

write.privacytools.io/privacy-

@storewidenastinessdrizzlyfetch I use search.privacytools.io on my main browser (read my article on compartmentalisation) so I was looking for a replacement for one of my other sections.
Thanks anyway!

@sparks Thanks.
I hope that they come back online, don't really know what happened. Might use Qwant for now

So startpage is now owned by an advertising company.

Being a former startpage user I'm now considering changing to jivesearch (its on PTio) however I currently can't connect, tell me if you have the same issues.

Anyway I will try to keep you posted on this (sorry I'm 2 days late).
