Email Isn’t Broken, Email Clients Are!
Someone has written a good response to both mine and @kev 's articles about email.

@yarmo nvm I just deleted it because I have a new key anyway!
@yarmo are there ways that one can edit these profiles?
#keyoxide is going great so far! The #foss #pgp website is drawing over 1000 visitors every day and the first wave of PRs has hit the repo.
I'd like to thank @floehopper (I think is this is you, at least) for their contribution and the beast @screenbeard for 6 PRs (and probably counting 😅 )
This is #opensource. If you see a project you like but is not quite there yet, you get the chance to make the change you want to see.
Oh neat, Njalla made a web app for checking a site’s DNS servers: https://check.njal.la/dns/?name=njalla.net

@amolith looks like its time for some instance blocking...
The original flawed premise of EARN IT was that services had to earn section 230 immunity. New amendments take the "earn" out and simply gut key protections for online speech and security. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2020/07/new-earn-it-bill-still-threatens-encryption-and-free-speech
It looks like Jitsi thinks it's okay to spy/track their users via third party services (like Firebase, Crashlytics, Amplitude) in the name of 'chasing down malfunctions in software'.
Reminder: The Web isn't universal, or at least as universal as it could easily be. And its open standards don't mean much when only Google has the manpower to implement them all.
Sure it's ethically better than the other mainstream platforms, but that's a low bar! So, sure, target it as a stopgap. If you want something better, build an alternative or promote your favourite Linux distro.
I'll be building a Web that's truly universal, relying on external efforts to obtain feature parity.

EARN IT? More like BURN IT. 🔥🔥🔥 https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2020/07/new-earn-it-bill-still-threatens-encryption-and-free-speech
@yarmo glad to be a part of it!
Yay, added a blogroll on my website, a list of blogs I subscribed to and like to read
I'd love it if #Netguard and #ProtonVPN apps could work together. I even tried Netguard with PVPN disconnected but Netguard still just blocked all connections.

@rw this is a nice theme that feels more personal as opposed to corporate:
