with giphy's acquisition by facebook, signal is now—more than ever—a terrible idea.
don't use signal if you actually care about privacy. xmpp + omemo is where it's at.

@freddyym matrix / riot too! of course. with their recent addition of e2ee by default i think it's a fantastic option.
my only gripe is it feels geared toward team/group communication… has that changed?
