@strypey if you were to make it, you would need to have great moderation to prevent trolls. It would also be neat if it were made retro style, or just clean and simple. But I'm really liking ths sound of this!

I'm envisioning platform for facilitating quality online debates between people from competing perspectives. The process would start with a series of text-based exchanges. After the debaters have (hopefully) gained a deeper understanding of each other's thinking and got the usual strawmen and sabre-rattling out of the way, a live debate could be scheduled. It could be held using video conferencing or, if possible, in person. It would be livestreamed, as well as publishing recordings.

I need entire children books of this kind to give to my nephews! We all need this.
The next generation will grow up with browsers and apps obfuscating the fundamental processes that guarantee our online safety. Unless provided to them by us, they will never be educated on how to stay safe online.
@d599f84e it's also the most read book in the world:

@d599f84e I'm not too sure how we'd encorporate this into the project... However, I think this would fit well with degoogle, so perhaps open an issue there?

Surveillance capitalism is the same as climate change, but for data:
- Some people have been warning about its consequences for years
- Most people don't care because they don't feel concerned, they can't see it affecting them
- A few companies are making a lot of damage with the help of governments
- When we will face the consequences it will be too late
- We can still do something about it, and the sooner the better
