@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat to be fair to them I had been given a warning, though I didn't know that I would be banned.

Why do some people boost a post without liking? I’ve always seen boosting as one tier above liking. You really like it, so you boost it. So it’s in order—you like it, and then boost it.

@sheogorath thanks for sharing this, I might be tempted to do something similar because I get similar emails all the time.

@amolith don't answer them. It doesn't help.

If you feel especially evil you can break their seo strategy like Troy Hunt does: troyhunt.com/no-i-wont-link-to

Due to the ammount of inaccuracies, the article will be reciving an update shortly. I made a lot of mistakes writing this article and I'm happy to admit that.

@x they've all been removed. He removed like 6 posts, all of which I had seen do well on HN. Thats why my reason basiclly says fuck back off to HN lol.

@gabriel there had been more than one incident were I had posted more business news style posts, but they were never on purpose. I would understand a suspension, but a ban seems harsh.

Added a new column to my search engine comparison table for IP address sharing.

Noticed that some engines say they don't log your IP address but then go around and share it to retrieve search results or advertisements which isn't very clear to end users (calling you out, ekoru.org/privacy).
