Humans are not fundamentally evil, or fundamentally good. Humans are *easily manipulated*. And we set up a system where evil is rewarded and good is punished, and those who reap the rewards of that system are well positioned to manipulate humanity into serving their warped desires.

if you're using a twitter crossposter consider:

@mcol your site is pretty 'asthetic' at the moment, though I am also more into lighter colour schemes at the moment. Also, thanks for the shoutout on the blogroll, hadn't seen that! πŸ™Œ

I had a very simple but important realization today. Reading for entertainment is vastly different from reading to learn something and must be approached in an entirely different manner. Until now, excluding academic textbooks, I've only ever done it for enjoyment so this is a big change. I guess it's especially fitting that I'm starting with a book on how to read more effectively :blobthinkingsmirk:

Sadly it uses notion and an unofficial python API. Well I'm sure I can make it work with emacs instead using something like ox-hugo.

Other than perhaps the home text at the top, I can't stop marvelling at how nice this site looks. Wouldn't use it personally, though I can see myself stealing many design elements when making a more corprate website...

@amolith funnily enough, I've just done an hours finishing a book now, completely seperate from the challenge. I guess that is day one done then. The book is called 'Samll Island' and I am now going to write a short review which I'll probaably publush tomorrow.

@mcol @yarmo good point. Having some open source components is better than nothing.
