Claiming that our statement that we don't use google analytics is false is just wrong. We used self host matomo though we are removing that in this PR.
Whats wrong with donations? The site is free. Donations aren't required, however we run services for the community and hosting costs money. All of the donations are visible via the Open Collective.
@freddy @dngray nothing is wrong with donations. But the heavy emphasis on donations and sponsorship betrays a significant profit motive which biases the site and gives an insight into its motivations. Oh, and they're ADS, which means that the multiple claims that the site is free of ads is a blatant lie
