One company's plan to build a search engine Google can't beat

@freddy Meh. tl;dr someone wants to launch a paid subscription based search engine. There goes your anonymity.

Here's a company that wants to build a relationship built on trust with its customers. But one can't trust any company in today's climate. Companies get acquired, and in fact having all this data makes them a target, and what happens to all the data they collected on you then?

@Coffee @freddy hmm. technologically speaking, taler or zcash and then use a vpn. they could even run it as a hidden service so your payment is cloaked and nobody knows you rented the service or used it.

(i don't know the legalities of this; i'm sure the government would ban it if people did it in earnest.)
