Other than perhaps the home text at the top, I can't stop marvelling at how nice this site looks. Wouldn't use it personally, though I can see myself stealing many design elements when making a more corprate website...

@freddy yeah. i like the idea of having a logo, and i've seen a few people have one for their blogs, but this one is super nice and totally fits with the style. I've been considering making the switch to light colours and I think this has pushed me over the edge.
@mcol your site is pretty 'asthetic' at the moment, though I am also more into lighter colour schemes at the moment. Also, thanks for the shoutout on the blogroll, hadn't seen that! 🙌
