Just discovered CryptPad via the FLOSS Weekly podcast. Basically, Google docs without privacy concerns.
CryptPad in their own words:
"CryptPad is a private-by-design alternative to popular office tools and cloud services. All the content stored on CryptPad is encrypted before being sent, which means nobody can access your data unless you give them the keys (not even us)."
It's also Free software.

Yeah, you are right.
But imagine a decentralised grid of solar power where everyone in the world has a solar roof on their house: they will use the energy that they need and they will input the surplus into this grid.
The half planet in the dark will use the power of their "battery" or the one from the grid generated by the half with the sun.

But i think that mastodon, thanks to activitypub's and gnu social's "high status" , has more notoriety than gab
