Generally my motto is if everyone is doing it... stop right now. In this case... I have simply jumped on board without thinking it through.
@eddiemoto @haxonhaxoff Exactly! Hey, they may be perfectly fine, but how would we know? And any time I question what they get out of providing their free services, people usually say I’m being paranoid and 1.1.1.1 is just a good loss-leader for them. But, the history of free lunches with these large firms makes me very skeptical. I’m thinking more and more of just running my own recursive servers just out of principle.
