It is a bit disingenuous to take a single comment.
The context of that was I don't control what other people do (nor can I).
The issue was discussed in some detail https://github.com/privacytools/privacytools.io/pull/1969#pullrequestreview-442128671
The argument that because we're not in agreement we're in support of white supremacists and fascists, is ridiculous.
It's the same argument used by politicians when invading civil liberties and privacy ala: "If you're not with us you're helping terrorists and pedophiles".
@dngray @isolategab @privacytools
>The argument that because we're not in agreement we're in support of white supremacists and fascists, is ridiculous.
That would be, true. But it is not what I claim. I claim, that a culture that supports the existence of nazis to organize in the open, is giving support to nazis.
Don't confuse this with top down orders legitimizing human-right abuses and so it is not the same as some politicians calling "if you're not with us, you're against us" nonsense
@dngray @isolategab @privacytools
>My understanding is that the main leader of their team @adrelanos wants to keep things apolitical.
Ok, but that is wrong. He promotes at least one german neo-nazi at his youtube channel. That youtube channel is promoted from the whonix webpage.
How apolitical is that?
@dngray @isolategab @privacytools
The "I keep things apolitical" is often just a rhetoric trick when being confronted with criticism.
While you know that whonix promotes the neo-nazi network Gab, I have hard times to believe that you think he wants to keep things apolitical. There are so many alternative social networks they could have choose, they decided to take the neo-nazi network.
#whonix
whonix, Gab, nazis
@dngray @isolategab @privacytools
If Whonix would support an assassination network that aims to kill you, would you defend Whonix in that aspect?
If not, why is it in this case something completely different as when it is directed to black people? In the later case you take all the time the position of defending #Gab, or claiming you can't or you shouldn't do something against.
Reflect your privilidges!
Reflect your whiteness (white ideology).
whonix, Gab, nazis

Its clear where you're heading with this. You also know nothing about what color I am. https://youtu.be/76hDlTlW-Yk

The tone of your of your posts suggests you seem to be purposefully writing them with the intention of creating controversy disguised as debate.
They have practically one of every account for every platform.

>They have practically one of every account for every platform.
They added those accounts after Micah raised his criticism. They had there only, fb, twitter, telegram. matrix and Gab. Gab was the only network that was non-mainstream in general or non-mainstream in tech.

@dngray @isolategab @privacytools
Here a simple example that shows a pattern of the problem:
1. I shit at your table
2. you say: aaaah, stop that and clean this shit
3. I go to the toilet to take a pee and come back to you claiming that there is no problem, because I used to toilet to pee
You and #Whonix team claims that is how to solve this problem.
I disagree.
@syster @isolategab @privacytools
> He promotes at least one german neo-nazi at his youtube channel. That youtube channel is promoted from the whonix webpage.
Link? All I see is two YouTube videos from 7 years ago demonstrating Whonix.
@syster @isolategab @privacytools
You are claiming we support Gab, we are not endorsing that product and never have, just as we would not endorse Facebook.
@dngray @isolategab @privacytools
Then this disagreement might be because of an different understanding of the used semantics.
"Support" in relation to neo-nazi networks can look very differently. So one can can support such a network in many different ways. One way of supporting Nazis to organize in the open is the following:
@dngray @isolategab @privacytools
Claiming that it is ok that they organize in the public and whenever there is an request to reduce their outreach capabilities choosing a position that pushes against that request.
This is what I see you are doing.

My comment relates to an entire thread, the screenshots are just to highlight.
