One of the cardinal rules of the internet must be that any time you mention mansplaining, someone will pop up to take you to task for it, even if it's in a longer thread about how that's literally not what you're calling something...

@hafnia It’s probably because the chief complaint revolving around mansplaining is that it is an aggression of sorts, but the etymology of the word “mansplaining” is clearly designed to be a (counter)aggression directed at men. If you take someone’s racial or gender or sexual identity and bundle it up into a pejorative and then use it in casual conversation, you may find that the targeted group feels a bit aggrieved.
