To someone using a #ScreenReader to navigate #SocialMedia, too many emojis in your display name can be just as troublesome as animated avatars. This is because the user must listen to all of the emojis before getting to the content.

@ChangelingRandy https://pinafore.social has a nice feature where you can mitigate that -- obviously others being mindful is good but it's definitely a nice feature.
@dan I've tried Pinafore and like it, but it's missing a lot of the keyboard shortcuts I like on the main platform. That said, it is one of the most effective things I've found for mobile devices.
