@Wetrix
I am guessing you have not seen the over 400 gag orders sent out in the last 2 years with accompanying National Security Letters. if the law is signed the users wouldnt know until a FOIL request was actully responded to with truthful information.

@Wetrix
right now they cannot, but if the law requires it they will roll out an update that would allow it.

And right now they only have 1 republican even saying they support the inquiry and stopping short of saying he supports inpeachment. I wish a news publication would publish how many hours have been spent on bills versus probs and impeachment. Politicains keep saying they can do both but i haven't seen it.

@trebach@mastodon.sdf.org
i think it is going to turn into the election of 2016 where because of media bias they do not report factually leading people to think there is an actual chance of impeachment and they are close. Then there will be no impeachment lol. 34 votes stops impeachment.

Set to be signed next month:
Social media platforms based in the U.S. including Facebook and WhatsApp will be forced to share users’ encrypted messages with British police under a new treaty between the two countries.

this is the set ive used for businesses that want their gitlab only accessible on the local network. are you visiting the local ip of your localhost?

If they are willing to fine a grade school for noncompliance, they will definitely fine open source projects. FOSS developers should get to know their obligations. Especially if they host a public version.

That being said i am willing to assist projects on their compliance roadmap.

I am not just saying this because I working in privacy compliance, but i am worried at the lack of privacy regulation compliance by many open source and FOSS project websites and the applications. Do we understand that FOSS is not exempt?

Its beautiful when you finally get full speeds on your internet. Ive been testing with multiple devices and finally the download speeds are there.

@nbk
cloudron.io and younohost have two of the easier selfhosted email set-ups. i would say Cloudron is the better of the two but the front end is not open source (some people care about that) they are working on transitioning.

i did that with my university account after they said they were going to delete it about a decade after i graduated lol. now just double click in and the whole backup opens in the client of choice. Beautiful.

@heroicstoic
ive run into this issue and was able to contact the owner and transfer ownership.

does anyone need a ram upgrade for a laptop that takes DDR4 2400 sticks? just upgraded all my machines and have 4 and 8 gb sticks left over.

Tech Question, Home Server

@Wayril
You could get an r710 series server for the same proce and be a little more prepared for scaling, raid and emergency backup.

@Vael
I noticed that. It makes me trust the package a little less.
