Today's stream topics will be an introduction to Mycroft AI with a walkthrough of how to install with and without using the Mycroft AI company's servers and how to create teach Mycroft new things through creating skills.

I'm going to start streaming at 8:08 Eastern which is about 2 hours from now. I chose DLive for streaming because they do not require anything more than a username and email to sign up and stream. Which is less than Twitch with there 2fa text requirement for streaming.

One way of doing this is offering to do libre and open source tech trainings. They are always looking for people to do classes. We did this for libreoffice.

Just ran through a mycroft install without home to make sure the process still works with the newest version and noticed even though I blacklisted skill-pairing it still installed at first boot. The fix is just deleting the folder before using Mycroft, but definitely not following the rules of blacklist at first boot.

Thinking about opening our gitlab instance up to the public. Noticed mormst gitlabs dont have runners and since ours does might as well open it up as an option.

If you would like to test for free for a month or two DM me and I can put up an instance for you on our servers. We have been hosting an instance for almost a year but since we have enterprise internet and multiple servers we do not keep up with usage stats. Most of the videos we put up are 1 hour or more.

So I think I'm gonna do some streaming tonight, for sure tomorrow. I think topics I will stream about are openAI development (might throw in a how to install and maintain mycroft without Home @jalcine ), OPsec, and Qubes OS basics.

If you are #selfhosting and break it, dont worry. You already bought it.

@cnidarc
Humans are not timely enough for autonomous cars to do the speed limit. Lol everyone would have to either leave on time or have grace periods.

When completely autonomous cars go into production. The next step for the free software movement is to have the freedom to decide if your cars stops when the cops try to pull you over or if it speeds up lol.

I think I’m going to start streaming my usage of #FarmOS
There’s not a lot of content out there for it. And I think it would be a cool way to network with other farmers.

@SpunkyAlpaca
Right set them up with Sogo and Nextcloud on our servers. Always turns what could have been a 5 minute call into 45 minutes. "Please hold I have to check if we can do that lol"

I see there is a misunderstanding. I am advocating for the default SMS application to be replaced with a better encrypted message that supports sms. Like Signal when they get better. There are a couple in f-droid thtmat I have used overtime and I never use the built in sms but the app I install that can handle both sms and encrypted messages.

I was simply pointing out the fact that those consumers currently in the phone market don't get to practice choice in what is installed in their phone. Most people dont us the default sms because it's good. They use it because they dont know better lol.

Am I the only one that feels like RedHat dropping KDE is a deal breaker?

So I would like to stream myself working on Open Ai and Mycroft showing people how to program their own skills. Twitch seems popular but their privacy policy is horrible. Does anyone know of any streaming providers that don't suck a privacy or should I just repurpose my jitsi installation or nextcloud talk installation for the purpose of streaming and share the link here?
