PSA if your like me and would like to use a ROM but keep buying the wrong phones for lineage or /e/foundation. Now /e/foundation sells their own phones. They are coming out with a system where you could mail in your phones also. Here is the shop. https://e.foundation/e-pre-installed-refurbished-smartphones/

I literally found this page 3 days after I purchased my newest unlocked phone. https://e.foundation/e-pre-installed-refurbished-smartphones/

@nikolal
When I noticed on the newest contractor's version I thought of it as a chip on Googles armor.
BlackBerry does use android now that's why I brought it up lol.
@privacytools just a heads up. I'm working on building the sites info into a open ai call and response. Where a users says something like what are some good privacy plugins and it gives them the list from the site.
@OneSubtractOne
This is bittersweet I just gave up a Acer Nitro because finding good distros that supported the drivers was hard as heck.
@nikolal I think phone manufactures need to install libre messaging apps by default. That would do wonders for adoption. Its not a foreign idea. The new Blackberry's ship with Firefox focus instead of chrome.
@jalcine
This map https://privacylab.yale.edu/surveillance-map.html is a community surveillance map built with openstreetmaps but you cannot easily overlay it with any maps for navigation.
@jalcine
And I'm amazed at the fact that you can't include things like the surveillance map database to any map. That would literally allow people to base trips on going around know surveillance technologies. I've never been so disappointed.

What is an alternative to Twitter?

What are some browser plugins for Privacy?
Privacy, why should I care about privacy?
What is an alternative to Instagram? @pixelfed
@Wetrix
Here is a screenshot of the basic search preferences you can also set preferences for image search, video search, news search and more.
@Wetrix
If you go to preferences you can set it to use a whole of a hell lot lol. And the best part is you can export the search results to csv and json. The IP that is shared with the search engines you chose is out server IP and not yours. Google, want, duckduckgo, startpage, github, and wikipedia are just a few you can turn off and on.
@Wetrix
The only downfalls I really have against iOS is that there is no truly always on VPN mode and no opensource app store. Safari has pretty good settings itself but without always on VPN I'm kinda turned off. iOS does have mySudo app though which it's a big win.
@Wetrix
We have a searx at https://stoptrackingus.io. you can set all your own preferences and use the custom url to build into your browser as the default search engine.
@mike
I built myself. I can put my project files and apk on a public download page on my nextcloud giving you a link. I set it up by default to connect to my server that way it's always connected and not just only on wifi. I have tooted a couple of screenshots of my version.
Seems like I'm going to have to pull a @jalcine and stream the setup of my V (Mycroft AI) reboot. Here it is on my phone.
