https://cloudron.io and younohost have two of the easier selfhosted email set-ups. i would say Cloudron is the better of the two but the front end is not open source (some people care about that) they are working on transitioning.

@c1t1z3n0n3 @greyor I thought of hosting email server first, but not feasible for me. I first switched to Tutanota, had lot of problems getting spam into inbox. I really liked Tutanota. But finally settled with ProtonMail, & I am happy now 😃
