Every time I help a business migrate their mail host to a different one they can control themselves the original shitty company they used for this kicks up such a fuss. What part of "I'm representing this company, they are moving away to something better. Please allow us to do this without shitting all over the floor about it" don't they understand?
IT people that think they're some sort of god do my fucking head in. I've got the smallest violin for their insecure 4GB IMAP server.

They always try and hold the domain name to ransom too, fuck off with that. I'm giving my customer back control of their domain name, you better believe it, shitty IT person.

If someone came to me asking for this I'd simply say "Sure, what IPS tag do you need me to set", "these are the current DNS records" and "let me know when you're ready for me to remove the original mail and name servers". Fuck's sake it's not hard

Right set them up with Sogo and Nextcloud on our servers. Always turns what could have been a 5 minute call into 45 minutes. "Please hold I have to check if we can do that lol"
