made the mistake of watching a 14 minute video on youtube and it broke for commercials three separate times.
Adblocker ate them of course, and I wonder are they just doing this to punish adblockers or has it really gotten that insane?
@joeyh it’s gotten absolutely hostile. I’m on YouTube mostly on mobile devices (so no Adblock) and it is basically unwatchable now

@antifuchs @joeyh you might like NewPipe. It's an Android app for YT that will let you do things the official client prevents, like downloading, playing in the background, and blocking ads.
It's available on Github and a dedicated fdroid repo.
