@byuu@mastodon.social suggestion: it might be more intuitive to have a graphical representation of the various parts to configure.

For example on the Super Famicom, a central pic of the console surrounded by empty boxes with lines pointing to where they would attach, and the boxes with drop down selectors. The controller ports with drop downs populated with the different controllers, the expansion connector likewise, etc, and maybe a button saying "configure..." attached to each.
