something I sometimes struggle to explain to some of the elder millenials in my life is that the cost of entry into everything gone up AND everything's been hollowed out. Education is more difficult to obtain AND the quality of it has gone down. Renting is more expensive and difficult to get approved for AND the houses are more neglected.
Benefits are more complicated to apply for AND they're worth less.
